MICRO PROGRAMMING WITH CAM-TECH
Micro programming is the disciplined process of preparing CAM programs for tiny features and precision components. At CAM-TECH, students learn to move from clean CAD geometry to a verified, machine-ready program.
The training focuses on reducing tool deflection, protecting miniature cutters, controlling heat and achieving consistent surface finish—skills used in medical, electronics, aerospace, tooling and precision engineering.
WHAT WE COVER
Create and edit extremely small features, fine contours, micro-holes and delicate profiles with controlled tolerances.
Plan safe 2D, 3D and high-speed toolpaths with the right stepovers, feeds, speeds and miniature tooling.
Use Mastercam simulation and verification to check clearances, collisions and material removal before machine time.
Document setups, tool lists, work offsets and inspection requirements so a micro part can be repeated reliably.
FROM CAD TO MACHINE
01 Prepare and inspect the model, stock and coordinate system.
02 Select miniature cutters and calculate safe cutting conditions.
03 Build and refine CAM toolpaths for the required feature.
04 Simulate, verify, post-process and prepare the NC program.
05 Measure the part and optimise the process for repeatability.
