Module 1: CNC Lathe Workholding & Stock Definition

  • Lathe coordinate system (Z-axis longitudinal, X-axis diametral)
  • Chuck, soft jaws, collet chucking & tailstock live center setup
  • Bar stock, forged blank, and tube stock boundary definition
  • Insert geometry selection (CNMG, WNMG, DNMG, VNMG, TNMG)
MODULE 02

Module 2: 2-Axis Turning & Facing Toolpaths

  • Facing toolpaths with linear and rapid retract motions
  • OD & ID rough turning using Dynamic Motion
  • Finishing passes with lead-in/lead-out arc lead extensions
  • Internal boring bar toolpaths and chatter dampening

Module 4: Canned Cycles & Post Processing

  • G71 rough turning cycle & G70 finishing cycle code generation
  • G76 multi-pass threading canned cycle syntax and parameters
  • G74 / G75 face grooving and deep-hole drilling cycles
  • Transferring NC programs via RS232 / USB to Fanuc CNC lathes
